About this deal

I think that the Chicco Ohlala stroller is great for older infants and toddler years as it is lightweight, easy to put up and down and fits the needs of that age range. I’m not sure I would recommend this pushchair to other mums. Whilst the foldability was very good, and it wasn't heavy like other push chairs I have owned, I felt the design was a little dull and boring. The colours didn't catch your eye and I feel the design on a whole lets the pushchair down, as it makes it look cheap. That said, my baby appeared to be comfortable when testing the pushchair on our walk. I do think that for younger years and newborns I would personally use something with a more supportive frame. I have never fully put up a pram on my own before so for me to find this process simple had to say something. I think our only fault with the Ohlala stroller is the wheels, they are made of lightweight plastic and don’t quite glide over small bumps as some others do. Matilda felt the bump going over a small curb but didn’t seem to mind.

This pushchair is so light – the perfect travel companion. It’s got a detachable bumper bar to make popping your child in and out easier, and the seat has an adjustable leg rest and good recline for comfy snoozing. It’s easy to fold – doing it with one hand requires some practice, though – and it’s very compact when folded. What they said: I really feel the Chicco Ohlala stroller is fantastic for anyone who uses public transport, does plenty of activities with multiple children or even mums that need a little space in their car. Overall both myself and Laura have been delighted with the Chicco Ohlala stroller also known as Kevin. The practicality of the Chicco Ohlala stroller is the main focus for us, as it was going to be used for holidays and day trips out.I wouldn't choose this pushchair to win a Mother & Baby award. Whilst it was extremely lightweight, it felt a little flimsy and like it would break easily. The quality of the materials did not seem to be high quality and the design didn’t excite me or make me want to use it. The cover is also removable and washable for any spills or crumbs so you can always keep it looking fresh and clean. Practicality I couldn't recommend this product due to the above reasons. Although I haven't experienced any other similar lightweight pushchairs, I felt this one was definitely not worth it’s price tag and in general, I was very disappointed with the pushchair. My son was very agitated in it because he couldn't sit upright, but also feel the seating was not the comfiest for him. The positive was that it was very compact and I was able to get two pushchairs in my car boot. It would be OK for using if going on holiday and occasional use, but wouldn't recommend this for everyday use. However, just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean you’ll need to compromise on quality as this pushchair is also the lightest of the three at just 3.8kg.

While Laura drives she still wanted to have enough space in her boot to fit in both a stroller for Matilda and a bike for Frankie. Extremely ultra-light it weighs only 8kg meaning it is easily lifted. One handed folding and self standing once folded in a super compact shape means it is easy to assemble/disassemble when carrying other items, or children, in your arms. The reclining seats, adjustable lefrest and extendable canopies allow parents to choose the best configuration for each baby to keep them as comfortable as possible when on the go. The extending canopy with a hidden zipped segment further provide additional shelter to little ones in adverse weather conditions. The one joined handle means the Ohlala Twin is very easy and agile to drive, even with just one hand.We looked into alternative lightweight compact strollers and found Chicco OhLaLa stroller. What We Thought of the Chicco Ohlala Stroller Laura’s current stroller is bulky, heavy and certainly not practical for travel and with Matilda able to walk the majority of places on her own (she’s very fierce and independent) spending a large amount of money on a stroller that might only be used on long walks or when Matilda is tired seemed simply wasteful.

We were both very impressed with the easy installation of the stroller, it was so simple to put the wheels on and go.

Tested by mum Rachel Foye for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

In my opinion, there are a lot of issues with this pushchair. The main improvements that I would suggest would to improve the quality and design of the fabrics and the seating positions. The most upright position needs to be more upright, as my baby was constantly trying to sit up and as said before, I had to loosen the straps and slip them off his shoulders so he was able to. The other improvement would be to introduce higher or adjustable handles for taller parents. Tested by mum Ashleen Cawley for the Mother & Baby awards 2018: It was a great stroller to have while Matilda was younger as she enjoyed the comfort and it grew with her. The Chicco Ohlala Twin doubles the fun, light and compactness found in the original Chicco Ohlala stroller. Modern and eye catching, it guarantees parents and babies the same comfort and smartness of use the Ohlala2 does, but for two little ones. Easy to lift, to drive and carry, it is the perfect ally for parents of two little ones. Homologated from birth to 15kg. I would choose this pushchair to win an award as a lightweight stroller, as it is by far the lightest I have experienced and it is so easy to use. That said, I didn't like the fact that my toddler didn't seem to be sat up well in the stroller – she seemed to be rather reclined even though the chair was in the upright position. I would prefer the hood to be bigger also. Unfortunately, we did notice that the stroller struggles when trying to turn and on corners. Empty, it’s fine, however once we added the weight of a child it seemed to struggle to maintain it’s balance while turning.

This is very easy to open and fold, but I didn’t manage to do it with one hand. Because it’s so light, it’s ideal if you’re lifting it in and out of the car a lot, and it fits in the boot really easily. The shopping basket is a good size, but it doesn’t take much in terms of weight – a box of laundry powder made it give a squeak from the added strain! Tested by mum Kate and Albert, 18 months: Sadly, however, it’s weight does mean that it’s only suitable for children up to 15kg. The competitors who do weigh more are able to hold children up to the 17kg and 20kg mark. ConclusionThe pushchair was light and easy to put up and down and when folded down, it was compact and stored well. It was super lightweight and easy to lift into a small boot. The lightweight pushchair is perfect to put up when out and about shopping, which made my life easier with a five-year-old and baby. We also noticed she was a big fan of the sidebars or as I would call them armrests. She put in her Sully teddy first to test it out before trying it out herself. This product is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre and the system used to fold the pram up and down is easy to use. The seat reclines well when my child is sleeping and it does not disturb them or wake them. The pram also has a canopy to help keep the sun out baby’s eyes. The appearance of the stroller is quite clean, crisp and simple. There aren’t any fancy mod cons and upgrades to the model that you might find with other strollers.
